CASW’s COMPASS program at PS37 is a STEM model for science and technology curriculum for youth of all ages. Operating since 20** under the guidance of Program Director Dahiana Kilroy, the program has consistently operated at a Far Above Standard rating from the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). Participants at PS37 can expect a robust experience geared towards robotics, coding, and digital animation, participants will learn to express themselves through modern technology. Participants are encouraged to create, with an eye on creativity and a hand on learning the basics of marketing and teamwork. Parents interested in enrolling their children in either the after school or summer program should start ASAP, slots fill out quickly!
Dahiana Kilroy has been a member of CASW since 2003, focusing on youth development and family wellness. With a career spanning over two decades, she has dedicated herself to serving families in NYC’s most underserved communities by providing educational and enrichment programs for both demographics. Throughout her tenure, Dahiana has successfully overseen various youth programs such as Cornerstone, COMPASS Elementary, and SONYC Middle School. Currently serving as the Program Director at PS/MS 37, she remains committed to nurturing, educating, and learning in order to fulfill her professional calling. In her spare time, Dahiana enjoys traveling, baking, and engaging in recreational activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
